SOUTH SULAWESI PROVINCE BATIK
Batik Toraja is also diverse and have a
certain philosophy. such as the Pare Allo, this motif which means the shining
and the round shape resembles to a shining sun. There is a motif, called
Pa'teddong which means buffalo head and a symbol of greatness in Toraja region.
Then, there is called Poya Mundudan, which means grouse bird.
Toraja Batik is the result of the development of
culture that originally can only be enjoyed in the form of carving in
traditional house, but along with the development of time and civilization, it
developed in the form of batik.
