One of the batik from Papua is Cendrawasih batik, this batik motif has the main ornamental pattern of birds of paradise, named Cendrawasih. As we know, the bird of paradise is a bird that also becomes the symbol of a beauty. Some tribes in the area even consider this bird sacred.

Cendrawasih batik is usually combined with pictures of plants and beautiful flowers from the surrounding areas. This motif is much favored by women because it can give the impression of gorgeous graceful.
