General information: Batik industry in Bali was started around 1970 by using manual woven technique. Usually people in Bali wore Batik for traditional ceremony as headband (maupunudeng).
Pattern: Bali, Bali-Papua, Bali-Pekalongan, etc.

Batik is the Traditional Fabric of Indonesia. Batik cloth made using this technique originated from Indonesia. Batik is made either by drawing dots and lines of  the resist with a spouted tool called a or by printing the resist with a copper stamp called a cap. Indonesia has 34 province and each province has its own patterns of Batik and the deep meaning behind the patterns as well as the technique to make the Batik.
