MALUKU PROVINCE BATIK

Maluku Batik conveys nutmeg, cloves, machetes, and salawaku (typical weapons of Maluku) and type of tifa totobuang (musical instruments). The color also varies from bright colors, calm, navy blue, even dark. The fabric used is also diverse cotton and silk.

Batik is the Traditional Fabric of Indonesia. Batik cloth made using this technique originated from Indonesia. Batik is made either by drawing dots and lines of  the resist with a spouted tool called a or by printing the resist with a copper stamp called a cap. Indonesia has 34 province and each province has its own patterns of Batik and the deep meaning behind the patterns as well as the technique to make the Batik.
