- Awan Larat Kembang Beratur batik is typical motif from Kep. Riau, This motif is all about plant for instance, sprouts with leaves and flower blooms. Usually this pattern or motif is used for the technique (a kind of Malay style craft) for the ornament of the Malay bride.

These patterns / motifs are usually associated with weakness of humility, wisdom and self-knowledge. These are the basic attributes that are always cultivated by the Malay elders to their descendants. Flowers and buds are always the symbol of love, purity, sincerity and subtlety of kindness, friendship and brotherhood. The hope of parents is that the ideas contained in this motif can always be remembered and practiced by their offspring
