BENGKULU PROVINCE BATIK
Name: Batik Besurek
History: Introduced by batik artist and merchant from the first Islamic Kingdom Dysnasty in Java at 1475-1548. Usually it was used to cover Islamic holy book, and for traditional ceremony.
Pattern: Arabic or Islamic Calligraphy, Bunga Cengkeh <Clove Flowers>, Raflesia Arnoldy flowers, etc.
Meaning: For Arabic calligraphy doesn’t have meaning.
